1583 – First known written mention of “Tutinlinna”<\/p>\n

1688 \u2013 Arable land audit \u2013 The first surviving list of Tudulinna residents (their relationship to later local families has not been proven)<\/p>\n

1716 – Inquisition and Annotation Protocol, which lists several Tudulinna families – the ancestors of the oldest families<\/p>\n

1736 \u2013 First written mention of Tudulinna sexton (Pitkete Karel)<\/p>\n

1766 – Construction of the first church on Linnam\u00e4e<\/p>\n

1802 – 1804 \u2013 Construction of Tudulinna Manor<\/p>\n

1808 \u2013 Construction of the Moravian Church\u2019s Prayer House, probably the oldest preserved building in Tudulinna<\/p>\n

1835 \u2013 Tudulinna\u2019s farmers receive surnames<\/p>\n

1845 – First written reports about Tudulinna School<\/p>\n

1860-1864 – Extensive church reconstruction, including the addition of the tower<\/p>\n

1866 \u2013 Creation of Tudulinna municipality<\/p>\n

1867 – Tudulinna is transferred from Viru-Jakobi Parish to Iisaku Parish<\/p>\n

1874 – First schoolhouse is completed (the wooden building where the current school is situated)<\/p>\n

1885-1913 – Purchasing of farms<\/p>\n

1892 – Song and Game Society is founded (Laulu ja M\u00e4ngu Selts)<\/p>\n

1898 – Construction of the Social House (extension as part of the hall added in 1913); the house burned down in 1957<\/p>\n

1900 – In a fire, the wooden mansion of Tudulinna Manor is destroyed. It is never restored.<\/p>\n

1903-1904 \u2013 The schoolhouse receives its first stone floor (the second floor was constructed in1932-1933, and the third floor added in 1960)<\/p>\n

1923 – Opening of a memorial to the victims of the War of Independence in Tudulinna cemetery (blown up in 1940)<\/p>\n

1923 – Voldemar Kuljus becomes the pastor of Iisaku and Tudulinna; after a while the religious quarrel begins<\/p>\n

1926 – A pharmacy is built in the middle of the village (where the current community centre is situated); the pharmacy burned down in 1944<\/p>\n

1930 – Construction of the Peressaare settlement on the outskirts of Oonurme begins.<\/p>\n

1930-1931 \u2013 Newspaper \u201cTudulinna H\u00e4\u00e4l\u201d (eng \u2013 Tudulinna\u2019s Voice) published<\/p>\n

1937 \u2013 Rannapungerja lighthouse was built<\/p>\n

1939 \u2013 Construction of the Church of Peace, renovation of the old church<\/p>\n

1941 \u2013 Twenty-one members of the municipality of Tudulinna are deported by Soviet authorities<\/p>\n

1947 – Last service in the Old Church; the two churches were united<\/p>\n

1947-1950 \u2013 Construction of a hydroelectric power station on the Roostoja River at the S\u00e4rjet\u00f5kke rapids (closed in 1960)<\/p>\n

1949 \u2013 Soviet authorities deport 129 of Tudulinna\u2019s inhabitants<\/p>\n

1950 – The municipality became a village council<\/p>\n

1954-1963 – Tudulinna High School was functional<\/p>\n

1959 – A new Culture House was completed<\/p>\n

1969 \u2013 Singing grounds were built behind Linnam\u00e4e<\/p>\n

1990 \u2013 The memorial to the victims of the War of Independence was restored<\/p>\n

1991 – The village council was restored to municipality status<\/p>\n

1999 – Tudulinna hydroelectric power station was reopened<\/p>\n

2013 – J\u00e4ruska Bridge, Estonia\u2019s first covered bridge, opened in Lemmiku<\/p>\n

2017 \u2013 NPO Tudulinna Kultuurikants was founded; the Tudulinna rural municipality merged with neighbouring municipalities due to administrative reform, forming the largest municipality on the Estonian mainland: the Alutaguse rural municipality<\/p>\n
